Young Indonesian racer Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa is using data literacy as a weapon to compete in the 2026 Moto3 Junior World Championship.
Ramadhipa said the improvements have made him better able to provide clear feedback to mechanics, making the process of finding the bike's settings more effective from one session to the next.
"This year, I'm reading the data in more detail. This makes it easier for the mechanic to set up my bike. The setup is clearer, and the data I provide to the mechanic is also clearer," Ramadhipa said in an online interview with Astra Honda on Monday.
This progress was also evident in Ramadhipa's achievements at the start of this season. After finishing third on the podium in the opening round in Barcelona, the 16-year-old then recorded his maiden victory in the Moto3 Junior World Championship at the Estoril round in Portugal.
The victory at Estoril moved Ramadhipa up to second place in the standings with 51 points. The Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior rider earned an additional 25 points from Estoril and is now on track to compete for the top spot in the 2026 Moto3 Junior World Championship.
