Tire saving strategy helps Ramadhipa win in Moto3 Junior Estoril

Young Indonesian racer Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa revealed that a strategy of conserving tires and maintaining a position at the front was one of the keys to his victory in the second round of the 2026 Moto3 Junior World Championship at the Estoril Circuit, Portugal, last weekend.

Ramadhipa said the race in Estoril was not easy because the track temperature was quite hot and the competition between the racers was tight from the start to the end of the race.

"Yesterday's race was quite difficult because the weather was quite hot. Pacing was quite difficult because we were all battling each other," said Ramadhipa in an online interview with Astra Honda on Monday.

Under these conditions, Ramadhipa attempted to manage his tire usage to maintain competitiveness in the final laps. He also chose to stay in the front group to maintain his chances in case the race was stopped at any time due to a red flag.
