The Swiss national team secured their first victory after crushing Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 in their second Group B match of the 2026 World Cup at the Los Angeles Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Switzerland scored four goals through a brace from Johan Manzambi, Ruben Vargas, and a Granit Xhaka penalty. Bosnia only managed to reduce the deficit through Ermin Mahmic's goal near the end of the match.

Switzerland dominated from the start and immediately threatened through Dan Ndoye in the 10th minute. However, the striker's shot went just wide of the Bosnian goal.
Ndoye had another chance 10 minutes later, this time his shot towards the center of the goal was still saved by goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj.
Bosnia only managed to respond towards the end of the first half. In the 38th minute, Amar Dedic unleashed a shot that was easily stopped by Swiss goalkeeper Gregor Kobel. The score remained 0-0 at halftime.
