The Thailand U19 and Malaysia U19 national teams each secured three points after playing their first match in Group B of the 2026 AFF U19 Cup held at Teladan Stadium, Medan, North Sumatra.
The Thai national team managed to achieve their first victory after crushing Brunei Darussalam with a landslide score of 9-0, while Malaysia defeated Singapore by three goals to nil.
With this result, Thailand leads Group B on goal difference, ahead of second-place Malaysia. Singapore and Brunei are in third and fourth place, respectively.
Meanwhile, in Group A, the Indonesian and Vietnamese national teams had previously secured three points each after securing their first wins.
Indonesia defeated Myanmar by three goals to nil, while Vietnam also secured a victory with the same score over Timor Leste.
The AFF U19 Championship, held from June 1-13, features 11 countries divided into three groups. Group C will play its first match pitting the Philippines against Australia at Madya I Stadium.
