The Corruption Eradication Commission is investigating the additional Hajj quota and assets while questioning three witnesses

The Corruption Eradication Commission  is investigating the additional Hajj quota and a number of assets during the examination of three witnesses on June 15, 2026, in an investigation into the alleged Hajj quota corruption case.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the three witnesses were ICH as Manager of the Pasar Baru Mansion Apartment Building, KIN as Director of PT Trikarya Idea Sakti, and FIR as Finance Staff of PT Raudah Eksati Utama.

"The witnesses are being questioned, among other things, regarding the process and filling of additional Hajj quotas at PIHK (special Hajj organizers), as well as asset tracing," Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He further said that investigators are currently still examining a number of assets related to the suspects in the Hajj quota case.

"This is also a concern for investigators in recovering the country's finances," he said.

The Corruption Eradication Commission  began investigating the alleged corruption case involving Indonesia's 2023-2024 Hajj quota on August 9, 2025.

On January 9, 2026, the Corruption Eradication Committee  named former Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas and his special staff, Ishfah Abidal Aziz alias Gus Alex, as suspects.

Meanwhile, Fuad Hasan Masyhur was not named a suspect in the case, even though he had previously been prevented from leaving the country.

The Corruption Eradication Committee  then received the results of an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency  which stated that the potential state loss in the case reached IDR 622 billion.

Furthermore, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) detained Yaqut on March 12, 2026 at the KPK Red and White Building Branch State Detention Center, while Ishfah was detained on March 17, 2026.

Yaqut's detention status was changed to house arrest on March 19, 2026 at the request of his family, but he was detained again at the KPK detention center on March 24, 2026.

On March 30, 2026, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named two new suspects: Maktour Operations Director Ismail Adham and Asrul Aziz Taba, former Chairman of the Indonesian Hajj and Umrah Tour and Travel Association. Both were detained on June 8, 2026.
