The Indonesian Navy  is seeking to strengthen bilateral relations with the South Korean Navy  amidst the Goodwill Diplomacy Mission of the Nation's Ambassadors and the Kartika Jala Krida  2026 Practical Exercise.

Based on the press release from the Indonesian Fleet Command received in Jakarta, Thursday, it was explained that the strengthening of bilateral relations occurred when the Commander of the Indonesian Fleet Command  Vice Admiral TNI Denih Hendrata met with the Deputy Commander of the Republic of Korea Fleet  RADM Lee Namgyu on the KRI Bima Suci which was docked at Busan Naval Base, South Korea.

"The meeting took place amidst a series of Ambassadors' Goodwill Diplomacy Sailing Operations and Kartika Jala Krida Practical Training in Busan, South Korea," said Denih.

Denih explained that he discussed many things with Le Namgyu, including strengthening cooperation in the military sector and plans for collaboration in the field of strengthening maritime defense.

Not only that, Denih also tried to explain the various types of Indonesian culture to the South Korean Navy officials.

The meeting also served as an opportunity to introduce Indonesian culture to the international community through various arts and cultural performances presented by the Naval Academy Cadets and KRI Bima Suci soldiers.

After the meeting, the activity continued with an inspection of the deck of the KRI Bima Suci and introductions in front of the cadet students who participated in the KJK.

With this activity, Denih hopes that relations between Indonesia and South Korea can become even closer, so that cooperation in the defense sector can also occur.

"I also hope that the KRI Bima Suci's goodwill voyage will not only serve as an educational tool for Naval Academy cadets, but also serve as an effective maritime diplomacy vehicle for building good relations with friendly countries," he said.
