14 martyrs in the Gaza Strip since dawn, including 8 in an attack targeting a funeral procession in the Nuseirat camp

The death toll from the Israeli raid that targeted a funeral procession in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip has risen to 8 martyrs and 20 wounded, according to what was announced by Al-Awda Hospital.

Sources in Gaza hospitals reported that the death toll since dawn on Friday has risen to 14 Palestinians as a result of Israeli raids and gunfire in various parts of the Strip. This toll includes victims of the attack on the funeral procession.

Commenting on what it described as the “Nuseirat massacre,” the Government Media Office in Gaza said that “the Israeli occupation is persisting in committing the crime of genocide and intensifying its bombardment of Palestinian civilians,” noting that the Israeli attacks had killed more than 25 martyrs in the past 72 hours, according to a statement from the office.

The media office said: “We are following with great concern the systematic criminal escalation practiced by the occupation army against defenseless civilians in Gaza, in blatant defiance of all international humanitarian agreements, conventions, norms and laws.”

He added that “the killings and the war of extermination are still continuing at an escalating pace, and are being carried out through a policy of bombing popular markets, funerals, gatherings of peaceful citizens, and safe residential apartments over the heads of their inhabitants.”

The Government Media Office considered this to be “a clear consecration of the approach of terrorism directed against everything that is alive in the Gaza Strip.”

Medical sources had previously announced the death of 3 Palestinians, including a woman, and the injury of 17 others, including two with serious injuries, as a result of shelling and the dropping of a bomb by Israeli drones targeting the central and northern Gaza Strip.

These attacks are part of Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10.

Earlier, a medical source reported that Muhammad Tayseer Obeid was killed and six civilians, including women and children, were injured as a result of an Israeli drone strike that targeted a residential apartment in the “Al-Taj” building on Yarmouk Street in the center of Gaza City.

An Israeli airstrike with a guided missile also targeted another apartment in a residential building on Al-Muassasat Street, west of Gaza City, with no reports of martyrs or injuries.

Later, a Palestinian was seriously injured when he was targeted by an Israeli march near the Al-Sha'biya intersection in the center of Gaza City.

In the central Gaza Strip, an Israeli drone strike targeted a tent west of the Palestine Tower on Al-Nakhl Street in Deir al-Balah, injuring a Palestinian who was taken to the hospital.

In the northern part of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army shelled with artillery and fired from its military vehicles towards the eastern areas of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood and the town of Jabalia.

In the southern Gaza Strip, local sources and eyewitnesses reported a limited incursion by Israeli vehicles into the vicinity of Street 16, east of the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis, amid heavy gunfire and artillery shelling, before they withdrew several hours later.

Israeli artillery also shelled areas west of Rafah city, while armored vehicles fired heavily towards the tents of displaced people in that area.

Israeli warships targeted the coast of the cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis with a number of shells.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement up to Thursday resulted in the martyrdom of 1,127 Palestinians and the injury of 3,643 others.
