Google announced the name change of its artificial intelligence (AI)-based research assistant and note-taking app NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook and introduced new features.
Google also introduced a new capability that allows users to perform data analysis more interactively through a programming code execution feature directly within the application.
NotebookLM was first introduced at Google I/O 2023 under the name Project Tailwind. Since its launch, the app has grown into an AI-powered research tool used by approximately 30 million users and over 600,000 organizations across multiple countries.
