| Al-Shar'a offers condolences on the death of the father of the Emir of Qatar |
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Monday evening to offer his condolences on the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the father of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The president was accompanied by Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, Culture Minister Mohammed Yassin Saleh, and Tourism Minister Mazen al-Salhani, according to the SANA news agency.
On Sunday, President Al-Sharaa expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and to the State of Qatar, government and people, on the death of the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, in a post on the “X” platform.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement expressing its sincere condolences, affirming that Syria shares the grief of the State of Qatar in this great tragedy.
She also expressed her full solidarity and sincere feelings of sympathy and condolences, wishing the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, continued security, stability and prosperity.
The Qatari Amiri Diwan announced on Sunday morning the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani at the age of 74.
