Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi responded to the CENTCOM regional meeting by asking, "Has America brought security or insecurity to our region?", stressing that peace is made through a comprehensive approach free from foreign interference.
Minister Araqchi, via the “X” platform, made a scathing comment in response to the regional dialogue organized by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) with the participation of 12 countries, during which the participants affirmed their commitment to ensuring the free flow of trade through the Strait of Hormuz.
He continued, addressing his message: "Similarly, our mighty armed forces have proven that outsiders are incapable of even protecting themselves. Sustainable peace in our region can only be achieved through a comprehensive and inclusive approach, free from any external interference."
In contrast, CENTCOM revealed yesterday that the Bahrain Defense Force hosted a regional security dialogue last Wednesday, which was described as qualitative, given the participation of military leaders from Syria and Lebanon for the first time in a regional defense conference led by Washington.
Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, chaired the meeting, which was attended by senior military officials from 12 countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
The leaders discussed the current regional security environment and ways to enhance defense cooperation, with Cooper emphasizing that they "continue to stand side by side with their regional partners."
