Banyumas Police uncover misuse of subsidized LPG in Purwokerto

 




  The Banyumas City Police  have uncovered a case of alleged misuse of subsidized liquefied petroleum gas  by transferring the contents of a 3-kilogram LPG cylinder to a non-subsidized cylinder in Mersi Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

Banyumas Police Chief, Senior Commissioner of Police Petrus P Silalahi in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Saturday, said the disclosure of the case began with a public report regarding suspicious activity at a house in Mersi Village, East Purwokerto District.

"Based on public reports, the Criminal Investigation Unit team conducted an investigation and visited the location. Officers discovered the activity of injecting the contents of a 3-kilogram subsidized LPG cylinder into a 12-kilogram non-subsidized LPG cylinder," he said.
