The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that approximately 30 percent of the fire area at the Jatiwaringin Final Disposal Site (TPA), Mauk, Tangerang Regency, Banten, began to be extinguished and under control.
BNPB Emergency Operations Control Coordination Director Brigadier General Djohan Darmawan in Tangerang, Friday, said that entering the fourth day of emergency control operations at the Jatiwaringin TPA, optimization of two water bombing helicopters was still being carried out to speed up the extinguishing process.
"For now, we can see that the wind is not too strong in the morning. Our fellow officers are also working optimally from morning, afternoon, and night," he explained.
In order to maximize fire control, his party has also deployed 18 firefighting fleets (damkar) to comb the fire points that have not been reached by water bombers.
