The Milwaukee Bucks have bid farewell to star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has officially moved to the Miami Heat via a trade.
The Bucks labeled Antetokounmpo as the best player to ever wear the Milwaukee team's jersey.
"You came to Milwaukee 13 years ago as a Sepolia kid with a nearly impossible dream," the Bucks' post began.
"Congratulations on the past 13 years as we watched you grow into one of the best players in basketball, the greatest Buck of all time, and a key force in the Bucks' greatest era that will always be remembered," the same statement read.
The Bucks appreciate how Antetokounmpo has made Milwaukee his home since his arrival. Antetokounmpo has embraced not only the Bucks, but also the Milwaukee community and all who have placed their trust in the Greek basketball player.
According to the Bucks, Antetokounmpo has managed to forge a deep connection with the team's fans beyond just the basketball context.
"You didn't just play basketball in Milwaukee, you were the heart and soul of this city. You touched lives in countless communities and inspired people across the globe," the Bucks wrote.
