Defending champions Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri begin their fight in the 2026 China Open in Changzhou, China, July 21–26, by facing the host pair, Huang Di/Liu Yang.
According to the official BWF website, Monday, Fajar/Fikri entered the Super 1000 tournament with strong credentials as the 2026 Japan Open champions after defeating world number one Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae 21-19, 21-17 in the final.
The China Open is Fajar/Fikri's second consecutive tournament in the last two weeks.
The China Open takes place at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Changzhou, with a total prize pool of US$2 million. The tournament is a Super 1000 tournament, one level above the Super 750 Japan Open.
