Cipta Cendikia Football Academy coach Ruly Hidayansyah said disciplined play is key to his team's victory in the U15 Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2025/2026 category in Kudus Regency, Central Java.
According to him, the 2-0 victory against Scorpion FC in the final match in Group B was the result of thorough preparation carried out by all players, especially in implementing the game scheme and defensive discipline throughout the match at the Supersoccer Arena on Friday.
"So the key will be discipline, both in defense and attack, and thank God the players carried out instructions well today," said Ruly in a press conference after the match at Supersoccer Arena.
He explained that in the last match his team had studied Scorpion's playing style.
Ruly said his opponent needed a win to maintain his chances of qualifying, so he predicted his opponent would play aggressively, relying on the speed of the game.
Therefore, Cipta Cendikia prepared an approach that prioritizes intensity, discipline, and game transitions to be able to reduce the opponent's pressure while taking advantage of opportunities when in possession of the ball.
He further explained that the coaching team also equips the players with attacking and defensive strategies, including transitions. One aspect consistently emphasized is ball possession.
