Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives Habiburokhman, said that his party will form a supervisory team to ensure that the handling of corruption cases continues after Febrie Adriansyah resigned from his position as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes.
"Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives is fully committed to overseeing the handling of this case until it is completed and legally certain by forming a Supervisory Team," Habiburokhman said in a written statement received.
According to him, Febrie's resignation should not hinder the law enforcement process for the corruption cases currently being handled.
He believes that law enforcement officers should take advantage of this momentum to complete the investigation professionally and transparently.
Habiburokhman also asked the Attorney General's Office and the National Police to continue working independently without intervention despite allegations of individual involvement in the case being investigated.
