InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Operations Director Troy Reza Warokka revealed that initial ticket sales for the Indonesian MotoGP have sold out and have now grossed an estimated Rp 2.4 billion in sales.
Troy said that the early bird sales , which sold out within a week, were influenced by the presence of two Indonesian racers, Mario Aji and Veda Ega Pratama, who were confirmed to appear in the Indonesian Moto2 and Indonesian Moto3.
"If we look at the sales figures, they're already at the equivalent of 2.4 billion Rupiah. Last year, it took a long time to reach this figure; it was still almost a full month.
"It's still a long way off for purchases to reach that figure...that's why we have the hashtag 'Indonesia Goes Global'. If not now, then when?" he added.
