Argentine national team midfielder Enzo Fernandez expressed his relief after scoring another goal in the World Cup, his last in 2022.
Quoted from the official FIFA website, Wednesday, Enzo said he had been waiting for a long time for the opportunity to get his name on the scoreboard again at the World Cup.
"I've been waiting for that goal for about three years, since the Qatar World Cup. To experience a moment like this, honestly, I thank God, I feel lucky," said Enzo.
The Chelsea player scored his first goal of the 2026 World Cup when he became the winner for Argentina against Egypt in the round of 16.
This was Enzo Fernandez's second goal for the Argentina national team at the World Cup, after his first goal against Mexico in the group stage match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
