Five Palestinian citizens were killed and others were injured on Monday in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Information Center reported that “two citizens were killed and 15 were injured this morning as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a vehicle in the Al-Mawasi area, which is crowded with displaced people in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.”
Israeli aircraft also bombed a vehicle near the Palestinian mills north of Khan Yunis city; no injuries were reported.
A local source reported that “a citizen and his wife were killed and others were injured as a result of the occupation aircraft targeting a residential apartment in the vicinity of the Jordanian Hospital in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.”
Meanwhile, a citizen died from his wounds after being hit by shrapnel from an Israeli artillery shell east of Al-Masdar village in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli artillery shelled the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, while Israeli vehicles fired heavily towards the southern and eastern areas of the city.
For its part, the Civil Defense said that its crews were able to rescue four citizens in good health in Gaza City as a result of a partial collapse that occurred inside a tower.
