Huawei on Thursday announced the opening of pre-order services for the Nova 16 SE smartphone in China.
The company posted a poster announcing the pre-order service for the smartphone, which is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2026, on a Chinese social media platform, according to a Huawei Central report on Thursday.
Huawei also showed off the official design of the Nova 16 SE, which at first glance looks similar to the Honor Power 2 and iPhone 17 Pro.
Huawei's latest SE phone features a large camera module design with a wide, horizontal display on the back, where three camera rings are arranged in a triangular format.
The front of the phone has a single punch-hole layout with narrow bezels.
Despite being designed as an affordable phone, the Nova 16 SE is said to have the same gradient color design as the Nova 16 Pro model.
However, leaked images of the device on Chinese social media show the color gradient of the Nova 16 SE is more similar to the Pura 90 Pro Max.
