International journalists have praised the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
"At first, I was skeptical about the participation of 48 teams. But when it started, it turned out to be very interesting," said Diego Lopez, a journalist for the El Salvadoran sports media outlet, El Grafico, at the New York Stadium in New Jersey, United States.
According to Diego, the 2026 World Cup matches were intense and captivating, until Spain emerged as champions.
"The 2026 World Cup will be won by the best team," he said.
However, Diego has input for FIFA which he hopes will be taken into consideration for the 2030 World Cup.
"Press regulation should be better. Furthermore, I hope ticket prices aren't too high, because football is for the fans, for the community," he said.
Kolkata, India-based Aajkal newspaper journalist Rajarshi Ganguly assessed that the 2026 World Cup was well organized.
"Hosts like the United States and FIFA are coordinating solidly," said Rajarshi.
