Internet access facilities in the Sekumur temporary housing will be improved

The Ministry of Communication and Digital will improve internet access facilities in temporary housing areas or huntara in Sekumur Village, Sekerak District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, to support learning activities for children affected by the disaster during the recovery period.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, while inspecting the Kagama Peduli Temporary Housing  in Sekumur Village on Sunday (July 5), said that the government is not only ensuring that communication continues in disaster-affected areas, but also providing connectivity that directly benefits the community.

"We see the need to further strengthen the quality of telecommunications services. We will likely coordinate with the Komdigi Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) to add more internet access points in this area," he said in a ministry press statement confirmed on Monday.

"Later can be used by our children in temporary shelters so they can use the internet facilities to support their learning activities," said Nezar.
