Jambi supports social forestry as part of the National Strategic Projects  to alleviate poverty

 




  The Jambi Provincial Forestry Service  fully supports the proposal for a social forestry scheme to be part of the National Strategic Program , as it aligns with the mandate of Presidential Instruction  Number 8 of 2025 concerning Optimizing the Implementation of Poverty Alleviation and the Elimination of Extreme Poverty.

According to Andri, social forestry is currently a serious concern and priority for both the central and regional governments. The program aims to provide local communities with legal access rights to manage forest areas around their homes through various schemes, such as community forests, community plantation forests, and customary forests.

​Through social forestry, he continued, communities are encouraged to develop various types of superior commodities that are in accordance with the potential in their respective regions.
