Jorge Martin maintains top spot in the German MotoGP standings after sprint

Aprilia Racing rider Jorge Martin maintained his top position in the 2026 MotoGP standings after completing the German Grand Prix sprint race at the Sachsenring Circuit on Saturday.

Martin, who finished sixth in the 15-lap sprint, received an additional four points, bringing his tally to 197 points.

He is 11 points ahead of his teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, who is still in second place with 186 points.

The additional points also keep Martin in a safe position before the main German MotoGP race which will take place on Sunday, especially since Bezzecchi is confirmed to be absent after suffering a broken collarbone in an accident during the qualifying session.

Fabio Di Giannantonio  is third in the standings with 184 points after finishing third in the Sachsenring sprint.
