The Indonesian Olympic Committee is strengthening athlete protection in its Safeguarding program by actively participating in the 2026 IWF Global Summit on Women & Sport in Birmingham, England.
"There are many good practices that we can adapt to strengthen the implementation of safeguards in Indonesia," said KOI Safeguarding Officer Tabitha Sumendap in an official statement .
The IWG Global Summit Women & Sport 2026, held from July 9-11, is the world's largest forum for advancing gender equality in sport.
Over three days, participants discussed a range of strategic issues, from women's leadership in sport, gender policy, sport safety, innovation, investment, to cross-border collaboration to create sustainable change for women and girls in the world of sport.
