Lecuona ends Bulega's 25-win streak at the 2026 British WSBK Grand Prix

Aruba.it Racing-Ducati rider Iker Lecuona ended Nicolo Bulega's 25-race winning streak after winning Race 1 of the 2026 British Superbike World Championship (WSBK) at Donington Park Circuit on Saturday.

Lecuona secured his first world championship victory after completing the 23-lap race with a lead of just 0.165 seconds over his teammate.

"I dedicate this victory to my daughter, Luna," Lecuona said, as quoted on the official WorldSBK website.

The Spanish rider made a good start to seize pole position from Bulega, who started the race from pole position.

Lecuona ran wide at Turn 3 on the third lap, allowing Bulega to take the lead. However, Lecuona quickly responded and regained the lead.

He then set a provisional lap record on the fourth lap to begin opening the gap. Bulega then set the fastest lap of the race and a new lap record with a time of 1 minute 25.491 seconds.
