Luis Figo predicts France will win the 2026 World Cup

Portuguese national team legend Luis Figo has tipped France to win the 2026 World Cup.

The former Real Madrid player visited Indonesia to promote the community-based digital strategy gaming platform Higgs Games Island (HGI).

"Regarding the World Cup, I think the best team for me so far is France. So, I said from the start that these four teams are the favorites to reach the final, so it's difficult to predict who will win," Figo said at a press conference.

“But when you play well and you start the competition well and you are consistent, maybe that gives you more opportunities to achieve your goal, which is to win the World Cup,” he said.

The 2000 Ballon d'Or winner believes Les Bleus have the best chance of winning the 2026 World Cup.

However, Figo did not rule out the possibility that all the teams in the semifinals this time have a big chance of becoming champions.

The 2026 World Cup is now in the semifinals. France will face Spain, while England will face defending champions Argentina.
