Manchester City Football Club announced on Friday the signing of Northern Ireland goalkeeper Piers Charles from Sheffield Wednesday on a contract that runs until 2031.
Charles, 20, who is returning to Man City after a spell at the club's academy before joining Sheffield Wednesday, will spend the 2026-2027 season on loan at second division side Queens Park Rangers.
Charles said in a statement, "Returning to Manchester City is a very special moment for me and a source of pride for me and my family."
He added, "I know firsthand how outstanding Manchester City is, and I am very excited about this move."
Charles made his international debut for Northern Ireland in 2024, and has since made 12 international appearances for his country.
