The management of Al-Ahly of Egypt has settled on a decisive decision regarding the future of Imam Ashour, the team's midfield star, after his remarkable performance in the 2026 World Cup.
ON Sport channel revealed that Imam Ashour will receive the highest salary among the new contracts that will be concluded by Al-Ahly's management.
She indicated that the management of Al-Ahly Club is committed to keeping Imam Ashour and rejects the idea of giving up his services in light of the technical need for his services.
She explained that Al-Ahly is currently signing new contracts for some of the team’s players with specific rules, the most important of which is receiving a fixed amount in addition to variable bonuses according to the team’s performance and results.
She confirmed that Al-Ahly will offer Imam Ashour a fixed annual salary of 30 million Egyptian pounds, in addition to variable bonuses that will bring the salary up to 45 million Egyptian pounds annually.
Al-Ahly's management wants to extend the player's contract, which expires in the summer of 2028, to prevent the scenario of his departure.
Ashour had scored two goals for the Egyptian national team in his World Cup participation, after scoring against the Belgian and Australian national teams.
