O'Reilly says experience will help England beat Norway

England national team left-back Nico O'Reilly said his team's experience in the World Cup will help them defeat Norway in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup at Miami Stadium, United States.

In the upcoming match, England, who won the World Cup in 1966, will be aiming to secure a place in the semifinals for the second time in eight years, having reached the semi-finals in Russia in 2018.

"There are a lot of senior, experienced players. Of course, they're helping us, giving us advice, telling us to stay calm, and helping us as much as they can," said O'Reilly, who will face his Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland in the upcoming match, as quoted from the England national team's official website on Friday.

The match against Norway will be England's third consecutive appearance in the World Cup quarter-finals. They previously beat Sweden in 2018 and were then eliminated by France in 2022.

Jordan Pickford, John Stones, Jordan Henderson, Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane were all part of the 2018 squad, while eight players in the current Three Lions squad also tasted quarter-final defeat with Gareth Southgate's side four years ago.
