The Indonesian Boxing Association is targeting the holding of the President's Cup international boxing championship after holding the 2026 Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Championships.
He said this was related to Perbati's efforts to revive Indonesian boxing by holding tournaments featuring competitions between athletes from different countries.
Perbati recently held the Asian Boxing U19 and U23 at the Basket Hall, Senayan, Jakarta, which was attended by 329 young male and female boxers from 20 national federations in Asia.
Hengky said that the smooth running of the championship, which was being held for the first time in Indonesia, demonstrated that Indonesia was capable of playing a role as host for prestigious boxing championships at the Asian level.
