President Prabowo is scheduled to lead the Bhayangkara Day ceremony on Wednesday

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to lead the 80th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony at the Brimob Training Center, Cikeas, Bogor,.

"The 80th Bhayangkara Day Ceremony will be led by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto as the ceremony inspector and attended by Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General of Police Johnny Eddizon Isir to the media crew in Jakarta, Tuesday.

In addition, Johnny explained, guests from ministries/institutions and stakeholders will also attend the Bhayangkara Corps' new anniversary celebration.

He explained that this year's Bhayangkara Day carries the theme "80 Years of Police Service to the Community".

This theme became the background for all activities in the series of Bhayangkara Day commemorations held from May to June 2026.

"The Indonesian National Police  carries out Bhakti Bhayangkara activities together with the community, such as social service, health service, performance achievement, visits, interfaith prayer and remembrance, sports competitions and weeks, as well as traditional Indonesian wayang," he explained.

He continued that at the peak of the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration,  the activities would be filled with a parade ceremony, awarding of honors, a defile, and an exhibition of main tools and special tools made in the country.

This year's Bhayangkara Day celebration was also special because it was held at the Mobile Brigade Corps  training ground in Cikeas. Previously, Bhayangkara Anniversary celebrations were usually held at the National Monument.

Johnny explained that the Brimob Satlat, Cikeas, represents the Police's openness to the community regarding human resources.

"The Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade Training Unit in Cikeas, Bogor, is openly represented so the public can observe every aspect of police work. There's an educational process and training aimed at building values and character, symbolizing the improvement of human resources as the foundation for professional and modern police services," he said.
