Putri Garut will challenge the Persib Bandung Academy after successfully reaching the final of the U18 category of the Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2025/2026, thanks to a 1-0 victory against Arema FC Women in the semifinals at the Supersoccer Arena, Kudus, Central Java, on Saturday.
Garut Women's Head Coach Depi Kuspriansyah assessed that his team was able to maintain its lead until the end of the match, despite facing pressure from Arema FC Women in the second half.
"For the final, we'll just play freely. The important thing is that the players will give their best because we weren't favored from the start. Even so, we're still confident we can win," said Depi in a press conference after the match.
Depi admitted that after taking a 1-0 lead, his team focused more on strengthening their defense to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
This strategy worked effectively so that the opponent was unable to equalize.
Facing the final against the Persib Bandung Academy, which also comes from West Java, Depi said his team did not have any excessive pressure.
