Maino Dwi Hartono, Director of Food Supply and Price Stabilization at the National Food Agency , stated that rice distribution under the Food Supply and Price Stabilization program reached.
Maino explained that the distribution of SPHP rice from March to July 12, 2026, had reached 457,820 tons, equivalent to 55.29 percent of the distribution target for that period.
.
According to him, this achievement increased by around 274 percent compared to the same period last year because the realization of SPHP rice distribution until July 9, 2025, was still around 181.17 thousand tons.
Maino said the government is targeting the distribution of 828,000 tons of SPHP rice by expanding distribution through nine distribution channels so that government intervention reaches the community more quickly.
He emphasized that SPHP distribution is not only focused on markets, but also expanded through various channels, including the Affordable Food Movement (GPM), so that affordable rice can directly reach people's pockets.
"We're targeting a distribution of 828,000 tons of SPHP rice. We have a significant number of SPHP distribution outlets, located at nine locations. This means implementation must be more extensive, reaching the community directly, not just in the market," he explained.
He further explained that the implementation of the SPHP rice program is still on track and on target. Thanks to the rice stockpile of over 5 million tons managed by Perum Bulog, the government has the flexibility to implement various intervention measures.
"We have a 2026 SPHP rice program with a target of around 828,000 tons to be distributed to the community. As of today, we have achieved more than 55 percent of the target. This means that we are now halfway through the year and on track," Maino added.
