The Houston Rockets have decided to retain forward Tari Eason with a new five-year contract worth a total of US$81.5 million, equivalent to more than Rp1.4 trillion.
The NBA website stated Friday that the contract ensures that Eason will remain in the Rockets uniform through the 2030-2031 season.
According to reports from several mainstream media outlets in the United States, Eason was previously a restricted free agent , which meant the Rockets had the right to match any offer from another club.
However, both parties eventually reached an agreement without having to enter a longer negotiation process.
The 25-year-old has become a key part of the Rockets' development, thanks to his contributions as an aggressive player and his ability to grab rebounds.
In the 2025-2026 season, the player appeared in 60 games, averaging 10.5 points per game (ppg), 6.3 rebounds per game , 1.5 assists per game , and 1.2 steals per game .
