Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo said his side's 2-1 victory over Croatia in the 2026 World Cup round of 32 on Friday, was a special victory for the team, the late Diogo Jota, and the Portuguese people.
"We won for us, Diogo (Jota), and Portugal!!! Let's go!!!!" Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on his official social media account following the match, which was monitored in Jakarta.
In that match, Ronaldo, who also captained the team, scored the equalizer from a penalty in the 68th minute. Portugal eventually won the match through Goncalo Ramos' second goal in the 90+4th minute.
