The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli army fire and raids in the Gaza Strip since Saturday morning has risen to 6 martyrs, in addition to more than 20 wounded, amid continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.
In the latest attack, a Palestinian was killed and five others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a gathering of civilians in the Mawasi Khan Younis area in the southern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
In the northern Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza announced the death of the police chief of the North Gaza Governorate, Brigadier General Abdul Nasser Muhammad Al-Maqadma (54 years old), after he was targeted by an Israeli drone in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses said that an Israeli drone bombed a bicycle near the Al-Ghazali intersection in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, resulting in the death of Al-Maqadma and the injury of a number of Palestinians who were at the scene.
Following the assassination, the Interior Ministry in Gaza accused Israel of “deliberately targeting key police installations,” asserting that the assassination of al-Maqadma was part of a “persistent effort to spread chaos in the Gaza Strip.” In a statement, the ministry added that Israel had killed 53 police commanders, officers, and personnel in direct attacks targeting police stations, patrols, vehicles, and personnel since the ceasefire agreement came into effect last October.
The ministry called on the international community and mediating countries to take urgent action and pressure Israel to stop targeting the police force, stressing that it is a “civilian body protected under international law” and performs its duties in maintaining security and managing the affairs of citizens in the sector.
In the central Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was killed in an Israeli bombing that targeted a gathering of civilians in front of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, while two Palestinians, one of them a woman, were killed and four others were injured in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a house in the Al-Buraq neighborhood of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement have resulted, as of Saturday, in the deaths of 1,191 Palestinians and injuries to 3,853 others, due to shelling and gunfire in various parts of the Gaza Strip.
