Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Akhmad Wiyagus asked the Association of Indonesian Regency DPRDs to form a working forum to assist with various cross-regional issues as input for policy submission to the central government.
"Adkasi must have a working forum that is not only active during activities, but also serves as a continuous communication space to discuss various cross-regional issues," said Wiyagus at the Adkasi Regional Coordination Meeting for Kalimantan in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
He said the forum could be used to gather information on various issues faced in various regions, while also developing more objective policy input based on real regional conditions.
"Adkasi has a strategic position as a platform connecting district DPRDs across Indonesia, enabling them to share experiences, data, and best practices across regions to strengthen the implementation of DPRD functions," he said.
Wiyagus believes that ongoing coordination will accelerate the resolution of various issues with similar characteristics in several regions, while also improving the quality of recommendations submitted to the government.
He emphasized that every recommendation produced must be in line with regional needs and can be implemented according to the characteristics of each region so that it does not stop as an organizational document.
According to him, the success of an organization is not only measured by the number of forums held, but also by the consistency in implementing the results of agreements through clear and evaluable follow-up.
Therefore, he requested that every recommendation from the Adkasi coordination meeting in each region be included in an action plan that has a time target, person in charge, and success indicators so that the benefits can be felt by the community.
He hopes that the Adkasi Regional Coordination Meeting throughout Kalimantan will be a momentum to strengthen a results-oriented work culture through ongoing inter-regional communication and the preparation of more effective policy recommendations for the central government.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of Adkasi, Siswanto, said that the Adkasi Regional Coordination Meeting for all of Kalimantan was a forum for gathering various aspirations and problems faced by district governments, especially those in the Kalimantan region, to be formulated as input to the central government.
