The Indonesian National Police dr cv emphasized that collaboration with law enforcement officers is key to ensnaring environmental mafia.
At the 2026-2030 National Symposium on the Outlook for Natural Resources and Environmental Crimes in Jakarta, the Director of Certain Crimes of the Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Mohammad Irhamni, argued that sectoral egos have often been the biggest stumbling block in resolving cases of environmental destruction.
"This multisectoral collaboration is key to dismantling the structured environmental mafia network," said Brigadier General Irhamni, as quoted in a statement received .
For this reason, Irhamni believes it is time for the Police, the Prosecutor's Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission , and related ministries to merge bureaucratic boundaries in order to build an integrated database system.
Thus, he emphasized the importance of strengthening enforcement strategies and synergy between law enforcement officers (APH) to eradicate crimes in the Natural Resources and Environment (SDA-LH) sector.
On the other hand, the Director of Environmental Crimes believes that current natural resource and environmental crimes are increasingly modern, sophisticated, and organized, exploiting regulatory loopholes and using complex corporate instruments.
