The Ministry of Home Affairs asks regional governments to maintain the downward trend in IPH

Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs  Tomsi Tohir asked regional governments  to maintain the downward trend in the Price Development Index  by continuing to strengthen food price controls.

Although inflation is starting to improve, local governments are asked to remain vigilant regarding commodities that are still triggering price increases, especially rice and cooking oil.

"What we do every day is focus on food, beverages, and tobacco. Of course, we're not complacent; we must continue to work hard to ensure that food, beverages, and tobacco prices don't experience significant increases," Tomsi said in a statement.

This was conveyed by Tomsi while leading the Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting which took place in a hybrid manner from the Sasana Bhakti Praja (SBP) Building, Ministry of Home Affairs Head Office.
