Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian said the government and the community have agreed to accelerate infrastructure rehabilitation and reconstruction following the hydrometeorological disaster in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh.
"We have held discussions and listened to aspirations, and in essence, we have reached an agreement," Tito said in his statement.
The agreement was reached during a Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Post-Hydrometeorological Disaster Recovery at the Bener Meriah Regent's Hall in Aceh on Tuesday. During the event, the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRR) also provided water tankers.
Tito explained that the meeting was attended by representatives from the central and regional governments, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Attorney General's Office, and community leaders. All parties agreed on a number of priority measures based on community aspirations.
