The 2026 National BMX Racing Championship, which will take place in Banyuwangi on Saturday, is expected to be a catalyst for the regeneration of BMX athletes in the future.
Deputy Secretary General I of the Central KONI, Major General TNI Retired Erdi Lumintang, said that this championship was concrete evidence that the Central Management of the Indonesian Cycling Federation (PP ICF) was implementing a coaching program from the grassroots.
"KONI Pusat welcomes this championship and expresses its appreciation to the PP ICF under the leadership of Police General Dr. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who has consistently implemented the coaching program," said Erdi Lumintang in an official statement on Saturday.
"Thank you also to the Regent of Banyuwangi, Mrs. Ipuk Fiestiandani, for her full support as host," continued Erdi Lumintang.
KONI Pusat hopes that this national championship will produce new talents capable of continuing the tradition of Indonesian cycling achievements on the international stage.
