Ubed learns lessons from Antonsen's neat play

Indonesian men's singles player Moh Zaki Ubaidillah learned a valuable lesson from Anders Antonsen's neat play despite being eliminated in the round of 16 of the 2026 BWF World Tour Super 750 Japan Open.

Ubed, Ubaidillah's nickname, lost to the third seed from Denmark in two straight games 12-21, 19-21 in Tokyo, Japan.
"Today, with his experience, Antonsen is more capable and understands the correct way to play. I learned a lot about how neat he is and how he doesn't easily go down alone," said Ubed in an official PBSI statement received  after the match.

Ubed struggled to match Antonsen's tempo in the first game. The pressure exerted by the world's top-ranked player prevented Ubed from developing his own game plan.

"In the first game, I was still quite confused, still under pressure from his tempo," said Ubed.

The 19-year-old began to find his rhythm in the second game. He was able to read the game and put up a tougher fight until the final points.
