Military Watch Magazine reported that the United States is planning to develop a new generation of fast-moving air defense radars after losing several valuable radar systems in the war with Iran.

This will lead to a shift to the Russian concept of air defense.

A report published by the magazine recalled that the destruction of American anti-aircraft radars at an early stage of the conflict enhanced Iranian offensive capabilities and limited the ability of the US military to monitor operational situations in the region.

The report explained that Pentagon radars are large, fixed systems, making them easy targets, especially in the age of drones. The world witnessed how Iran struck these radars one after another, nearly blinding the enemy's entire air defense system.

Therefore, Washington began to consider moving to mobile radars, similar to their counterparts in the Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, which were designed from the beginning as mobile air defense systems, with radars, command centers and launch platforms mounted on vehicles.

The article's author noted that "the new American approach will move air defense further away from the traditional Western concept of an independent battery, transforming radars into nodes within broader networks, just as is happening in the Russian army."
