Bayern Munich has officially made the signing of young Senegalese midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye permanent in the 2026 summer transfer window.
"Bara Sapoko Ndiaye has signed a professional contract with Bayern Munich until June 2031," the club said.
The 18-year-old previously joined Bayern Munich on loan from Gambian club Gambinos Stars Africa in January 2026.
Bayern Munich was impressed with Ndiaye's development during his loan spell. After appearing in four Bundesliga matches in the 2025/26 season,
his performances with Bayern Munich earned him a place in the Senegalese national team squad for the 2026 World Cup. He made his Bundesliga debut against St. Pauli in matchday 29 of the 2025/26 season.
"Today is a very big day for me and my entire family. I want to learn every day from all the great players here at Bayern Munich and try to help the team," said Ndiaye.
"This is a dream come true for me. I'm very happy and also want to be an example to other young players, like my teammates at Gambinos Stars, that you can reach one of the biggest clubs in the world," he added.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund praised Ndiaye's development, which he said was able to adapt quickly to his new environment.
"Bara is a great footballer who was able to find his place in a completely new environment at Bayern in a very short time and quickly gained acceptance within the team," said Freund.
Bayern will next start the 2026/27 season against Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup on August 22, 2026. A week later, Bayern begin their campaign to defend their Bundesliga title against VfB Stuttgart.
