The board of directors of the Egyptian Pyramids FC, the executive management and all employees of the club mourned Major General Hisham Zaid, the director of the club’s match management, who passed away on Tuesday.
Pyramids FC is scheduled to host Abu Qir Fertilizers on Thursday evening, as part of the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The club said through its media center: "Major General Hisham Zaid, Director of Matches at Pyramids FC, has passed away."
Pyramids FC indicated that the deceased had been admitted to a hospital in New Cairo in recent days, after suffering a sudden health crisis, before passing away.
The club praised Major General Hisham Zaid's career, stressing that he was known for his efficiency and dedication to work, and that he contributed a lot to Pyramids FC during his years as Director of Match Administration.
It is worth noting that Pyramids FC started their campaign in the new league season with a resounding 3-0 victory over Ghazl El Mahalla in the match that took place last Saturday evening at El Mahalla Stadium.
