Google has announced the new Pixel Watch 5, which it designed to be among the best smartwatches to appear this year.
The watch has a water and dust resistant body according to the IP68 standard, with dimensions of (45/45/12.3) mm, and is protected by very durable glass that is resistant to shocks and scratches. It is also equipped with eSIM technology for connecting to cellular networks.
Its screen is a circular LTPO AMOLED display measuring 1.4 inches, with a resolution of (456/456) pixels, a density of approximately 320 pixels/inch, and a brightness of up to 3000 nits.
The watch runs on Android Wear OS 7, a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor, an Adreno A702 graphics processor, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.
Google equipped it with speakers and microphones for making voice calls, sensors to measure heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen levels, and applications to monitor the user's physical activity and daily sleep patterns.
It also features Bluetooth 6.0 technology for pairing with phones and other mobile devices, sensors for monitoring skin moisture, a body temperature sensor, satellite positioning systems, satellite emergency distress call features, and a 465 mAh Li-Ion battery.
