Liverpool are preparing to announce a new signing during the current summer transfer window as the Reds continue their preparations for the 2026-2027 season.

Liverpool will announce their third signing in the coming hours, which is the acquisition of Ronald Araujo, the Barcelona defender who will be a new player in the ranks of the "Reds".

Spanish journalist Gerard Romero posted a video on his official X-platform account showing Araujo boarding a plane to Liverpool in preparation for his move to the Reds.

Araujo will undergo the necessary medical examinations before officially completing the move to Liverpool on loan with an option for the English club to buy for 55 million euros.

Araujo's departure from Barcelona is considered the best move for both parties, as the player has been away from participating as a starter with the Blaugrana during the last two seasons, and the level of the Uruguayan international has declined significantly, so the move to Liverpool represents a new opportunity for the 27-year-old to regain his form.

It is worth noting that Liverpool have strengthened their ranks so far this summer by signing two players: Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais for 63 million euros, and Victor Munoz from Osasuna for 40 million euros.
