Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria revealed three important aspects to realizing AI-driven security or an AI-based cybersecurity system in Indonesia, starting from creating adaptive regulations to developing reliable digital talent.
Of these three aspects, Nezar emphasized that all three must be worked on collaboratively, not only by the government alone but also involving academics, industry, and even the community.
"First, we need a sustainable and collaborative process in which the government, industry, academia, and other stakeholders actively work together to adjust regulations," Nezar said at the Kaspersky Academy Partners Summit 2026.
According to Nezar, in presenting regulations related to cybersecurity, the government has actively opened up space for relevant stakeholders to participate.
This is also applied in the formation of regulations currently underway, such as implementing regulations for the Personal Data Protection Law and the draft Cyber Security and Resilience Law.
