The Ministry of Communication and Digital stated that it is ready to regulate fair profit sharing between platforms and courier partners delivering goods and food in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directive in the Presidential Regulation regarding online motorcycle taxis.
"We're trying to ensure that all processes are fair , so drivers receive their fair share of the benefits , and platforms can earn a reasonable margin for sustainability," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria.
According to Nezar, the profit-sharing scheme for courier partners delivering goods and food will have different arrangements than for partners delivering people.
The scheme for delivery of goods and food will not adopt a 92:8 revenue split and still needs to be refined to align the interests of courier partners and digital platforms.
"The 92 and 8 percent are for people deliveries. Meanwhile, there's flexibility for goods and food deliveries," Nezar said.
